Rider looped at KCIR

00 CBR 600 looped it at KCIR today. Didn't catch his name, but Cyphear caught it on video. They took him away in the ambulance, hope he didn't have any major damage. He was wearing jeans, so I'm going to assume it was just rash.

looking at the vid closely though, the bike bogged down at the start. He pulled in the clutch, rev'd it, and dumped it. Knowing when to shut it down can save your ass.

Re: Rider looped at KCIR

I talked to him afterwards, he attempted to "double clutch" to catch back up.

que? double clutch...as in, "granny shifting, not double clutching like you should"

correct me if im wrong, but isn't that an old car thing with transmissions that don't have syncro's?

that's the only double clutching i know of. you would do it to sync the transmission....clutch and shift to neutral let rpms drop clutch in and shift to the next gear. seeing as how you cant go to neutral between the gears on a bike i don't see how this is possible.
